这本书是一本综合能力提高的教程，是按照话题分类的，一个unit就是一个话题，然后以这个话题展开听、说、读、写的教学，里面有一些题目不是以iBT题型方式出现，但是有不少基本技能的训练。应该适合不是急于考试，有时间进行基本功训练的学生使用。

书的最后有一套完整的“ETS Practice Sets for the TOEFL iBT”纸上模拟题，没做过，不过冠了ETS的名应该蛮真题的吧
