问：megaupload出现 download limit exceeded 怎么办？
答：megaupload 会限制免费用户每天的流量，你可以改变你的ip地址，如重新起到你的modern。不可以改ip的话，你可以试试下面的办法，如果还不行的话，只有等明天再下载了。

a.下载并安装firefox浏览器（请点击右边“firefox下载”里面的按钮下载firefox火狐浏览器,右边如下图这样的按钮，该文件来自Google，未发现病毒）

问：为何有的软件下栽总是半途而废？怎么解决？谢谢！
答：请用FLASHGET下载.

问：已经下载了FlashGet, 但不会用。
答：双击运行、安装，然后点击“下载”会自动弹出来一个下载窗口。需要调一个参数，把“分成几部分下载”调成2，然后确定就可以了。另外请不要同时下载多个文件。

4.*.iso文件的使用：
(1)*.iso文件是一种光盘的镜像文件，推荐使用daemon等虚拟光驱软件配合运行。有关deamon的下载安装与使用请参考本帖上下部分的内容。（虽然winrar软件可以支持打开iso文件，但用这种办法从ISO中提取出来的文件是无法进行光盘验证的。但不少软件是需要通过光盘运行或者需要光盘验证的ISO，通过winrar提取的方式会导致文件无法正常运行了。）
(2)如果有刻录机的话，可以用刻录软件中的“数据备份/恢复”功能（具体的刻录软件可能软件功能的名称设置上不太一样），将iso文件刻录（还原）成一张CD光盘，以后就用该CD运行软件。

5.有关安装DAEMON的问题

问：使用kaplan和longman需要安装daemon，哪里可以下载
答：下载http://www.onlinedown.net/soft/3617.htm

问：下载了的daemon，但无法启动（点图标安装的时候，总是出现提示：须有windows service pack）
答：Daemon Tools需要windows installer一个较新的版本，一般在Win98中需要升级windows installer，我刚刚到微软网站上找了一下，地址：

先安装这个，然后再安装daemon tools

问：请问如何才能安装两个或以上的虚拟光区？我想安装第二个的时候被电脑拒绝了，为什么？怎么办？
答：不用安装两个，在右下角的DAEMON图标上点右键，选“Visual CD/DVD drive”，然后再选set number of drives，试试吧。

DAEMON使用简介：
(1)下载完成后，双击安装，
(2)之后，会在Windows任务托盘（任务栏taskbar右下角）中显示为一个红色的小图标。
(3)左键点击红色小图标，会出现一个菜单，共有两项：(1)Unmount all drives; (2)Device0: [i] No media; 选择第二个菜单，
(4)然后找到解压缩出来的*.iso文件，再点击“打开”，即可。
(5)到“我的电脑”或资源管理器中查看，运行光盘。。。

关于运行kaplan或longman时遇到插入光盘提示的xdjm们，请确定：
1、你没有使用多个虚拟光驱（不管是多个虚拟光驱软件还是daemon tools虚拟多个光驱），
2、运行时的盘符与安装时没有变化。
3、运行时确实mount正确的iso或ccd文件了。
另外，如果在运行kaplan时select user name后,系统提示error:unable to create space for the new user，也是同样的问题。（运行时的盘符与安装时的盘符必须相同）

6.关于Kaplan模考软件中阅读出现乱码的问题

这个问题请试试下面的解决方法：在控制面板中，找到语言选项，将默认语言改为英文。
具体操作——在控制面板中，找到：区域一语言选项，双击。然后有三个标签页，分别是：
（1）区域选项（2）语言（3）高级
选择“高级”，在“非unicode程序的语言”这项选“英语（美国）”，然后确定。此时系统可能会弹出一个消息窗口，询问“要跳过文件复制，使用现有文件吗？”，选择“是”，系统就会重启，之后就能运行kaplan了。不然的话，就要找到系统安装光盘并插入光驱才能继续运行。
（要注意，虽然有些朋友使用的Windows系统就是英文系统，可能也需要把语言设置调整为“English(United state)”
才能解决问题）
不过这么改了之后，就不能输入中文了，要使用中文，还要再次修改语言选项然后改回来，再重启才行。

词的难度个人感觉和GRE红宝书差不多，不过没有红宝书里那么多单词。作者说大约1000个单词，分成25个单元，介绍200个词根。
　　书是按照词根来分类的，可是使用的感觉是，比中国人自己写的词根词典等要容易记背一些，因为讲解详尽，而且因为是英语的缘故，语感很容易出来，而不像其他背法，记住之后不会使用。
　　书中每单元除了介绍好几个词根及其组成的词汇之外，还介绍来自传说和神化里的词。比如，Stentorian,Stoic这些。每两个词根也就是八个词之后有一个小练习，每单元有一个大一点点的练习。
个人觉得，本书适合那些有一段时间背单词的人，他们想背一个单词之后真正记住它，并且会使用它。要是急着考试背单词，就还是算了，因为需要的时间比较长。另外，水平估计是超过了托福一点的.iso 文件。需要虚拟光驱软件。

一．对出国和出国后学习、生活的重要性
　　美国人在近几年发现好多中国留学生虽然GRE分数非常高，写作水平却很低，在以后的学习中遇到了许多麻烦，也造成了教授很大的困扰。所以他们开始认为GRE分数并不能完全代表一个学生的英文水平。
　　事实上，在国外，只有两种水平能够使你顺利的生存下去，一是听和说的水平，另一个就是写作水平。中国学生普遍语法水平都非常高，但这只是在做语法题时。而在文章里，一句话却能犯5、6个语法错误。所以美国普林斯顿考试的改革，几乎有1/3的要点是针对外国学生，尤其是越来越多的中国大陆考生来设计的。比如，到明年5月份TOEFL考试机考之后，要把作文中的语法错误算在语法分中。外国教授不需要你到那边再练习写作能力，他要求你去之前练好写作。
GRE考试作文2篇，并且是美国所有作文考试中最长的。别的都是半个小时写完，GRE则要求45分钟，所以它在质量和长度上的要求就更高。GRE作文不只通过普林斯顿打分，而且，还可以直接送到教授的桌上。教授可以把你的作文和你的personal statement进行对照。作用是和你的personal statement进行参照，看看你的personal statement是不是自己写的，同时也评判你的写作水平，当然这也是决定你能不能得到奖学金的重要标准。
　　二．怎样才能切实提高写作能力
作文的写作在美国人心目中包括几个部分。要想写好作文，需要三大能力：
1．语言能力，2．逻辑思路能力，3．修辞学的能力。
1．语言能力
语言能力的提高是一个反复练习的过程。它包括听说的能力、阅读词汇和写作能力。写作能力又涉及到两个能力：用词的能力和句子结构的能力。
用词能力指的是对同一种内容，你可以有不同的表达方式。如果你在一篇文章中反复的出现同一个词，而没有可以替换的，那你的分数一定不会高（当没有GRE作文考试时。美国教授评判你写作能力的标准就是你的书面材料）。
事实上，单词量并能不代表你的写作水平。单词就象是一块块的砖，但是如果你想建一幢大楼，只有材料是不够的，你还需要一个杰出的设计师。虽然英语的章法非常严格，但是它需要你的变化。也就是句子结构的能力更重要。普林斯顿要求你在句法上要有变化。因为GRE作文要求体现复杂性和思想性。好多同学看到一个结构都不知道是什么，更别提让他写出戳恕?
是不是去分析句子结构就能写出好文章呢？NO。不需要去研究句子结构，只要做到我说的两件事。下面我就讲一下对于提高用词能力和句子结构能力的两大要素：
*　背诵
练习的多了，你的笔头上就会自然流露出句子结构。语言是运载思想的工具。我在大学2年级的时候，背过新概念英语的2、3、4册。新东方有一个我唯一非常佩服的学员，他现在已经从DUKE毕业了。他也是背新概念英语的2、3、4册，但是他背得非常熟练，可以说是倒背如流，对每篇文章都非常熟悉。以他这样的水平，TOEFL高分是没问题，GRE考了2350分。
